Our Story
It started with a cocktail that couldn't be made. Amber Welch, a Colorado native and craft cocktail enthusiast, spent months searching for mugolio syrup after discovering it in an obscure recipe. She checked specialty stores. She searched online. Nothing.
So she did what any determined person surrounded by 14,000-foot peaks and endless pine forests would do — she made her own. For two years, Amber experimented with wild young pine cones from the Colorado Rockies, refining the recipe, testing variations, and sharing samples with chefs and bartenders who kept coming back for more.
What began as a kitchen experiment became a mission: to bring this extraordinary European tradition to America using the incredible wild ingredients growing right in our own backyard. Every bottle of Mugolio carries the altitude, the clean mountain air, and the wild spirit of the Colorado Rockies.
